Dr. Mohammed Aledhari is the founder and director of the computational healthcare and biotechnology (COHB) lab in the College of Information - Data Science at the University of North Texas (UNT). Dr. Aledhari's lab projects use artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science, and computer vision techniques for healthcare, bioinformatics, biomedical, wearable devices, computational (biology, healthcare, and medicine), biotechnology, genomics, proteogenomics, protein structure prediction, drug discovery, and personalized medicine. Such implementations and analysis can lead to monitoring, diagnosing, and treating several life-threatening diseases with genetic predispositions such as cancer, obesity, diabetes, heart disease, and mental illness. Dr. Aledhari has a strong track record of mentoring students to attain high-impact positions, including but not limited to staff scientists and software engineering positions in machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, and data science fields.
